Jonatan Christie won a gold medal during the 2018 Asian Games. He is called the Indonesian Ko Chen-tung by Taiwanese fans. Jonatan was born in 1997, and he is now only 21!

Jonatan went viral on the internet when he defeated Chou Tien-chen during the first round of the 2016 Malaysia Super Series Premier. He won the badminton doubles championship during Southeast Asian Games the next year.

Jonatan hit his all-time low at the beginning of last year with the world ranking of 15th. He lost most of the games. However, things turned around during the Asian Games. Jonatan defeated Shi Yuqi from China, Kenta Nishimoto from Japan, and Chou Tien-chen from Taiwan. And finally won the gold medal.
