When speaking of Thai movies, horror films aside, what first comes to mind is probably BL, right? You’ve got to hand it to them, Thai BL films excel in not just promotion, but also in visuals and storylines. Heartbreakers, vanilla loves, and comedies, you name it. Following the film Dew that came out earlier this year, the hugely popular Present Perfect is now having a sequel! The actor behind Oat, Kritsana Maroukasonti, is just the cutest, but also a mature charisma that comes with that two-day shadow, and what’s under it is practically the definition of handsome.

For those who haven’t seen Present Perfect, the story follows Toey (Adisorn Tonawanik) a Thai traverler who decides to heal his broken heart in a Higashikawa town where he meets Oat (Kritsana Maroukasonti), who is also from Thailand, and is on his bachelor trip. While one of them is still recovering from a painful breakup and the other confused about his upcoming marriage, romance sparks off between the two strangers, who are fellow countrymen in a strange land.

Present Still Perfect picks up 4 years after Oat leaves Toey, and runs into him again in an airport. The pain buried in Toey’s heart is then shoveled out again. To forget, Toey goes on holidays to the island of Koh Kood, where he meets Kenta from Japan. Handsome and bubbly, Kenta soothes Toey’s aching heart. However, Toey one night receives a message from Oat and is then unexpectedly greeted by him the following day. Confronted with a choice between old and new, what is Toey going to do?
