As of late, Thailand is really making a push towards becoming the BL haven of Asia, releasing a multitude of queer romance dramas, one after the other. Beyond the wildly popular 2gether: The Series (over 25 million views on YouTube and counting) and A Tale of Thousand Stars (winner of the 'Best LGBTQ+ Programme Made in Asia' award category at the ContentAsia Awards 2021), there’s also the universally acclaimed I Told Sunset About You, GagaOOLala's own first ever Thai and Taiwanese co-produced BL series, Call It What You Want 1 and 2 and two seasons of TharnType, as well as many others—all Thai BL dramas dealing a wide variety of subjects, plots and issues and being portrayed in a number of styles and direction. Amidst all this BL extravaganza, today, we take a look at First Chalongrat Novsamrong and Ja Phachara Suansri, who played the secondary pairing in TharnType 2: 7 Years Of Love and became such fan favorites in the process that they’re now back together starring in their own show, the new BL drama, Don’t Say No.
Don’t Say No, a spinoff from the beloved Thai BL drama TharnType, follows childhood best friends and bosom buddies Leo and Fait on their journey from pining for each other in silence to becoming lovers. On the outside, Leo appears strong and attractive, but has zero experiences when it comes to dating and relationships. Meanwhile, beneath Fiat’s unassuming innocent exterior hides a seasoned playboy. Will Leo be able to capture Fiat’s untamed heart and ultimately keep him by his side forever?
Playing the romantically experienced Fiat is 23-year-old First Chalongrat Novsamrong, a graduate of King Mongkut’s University of Technology who played for his school’s badminton team both in high school and college.
In 2017, he burst onto the scene in short film Ruk Tur Hai Noy Long, and officially debuted the next year in the drama Social Death Vote. Since then, he’s appeared in a number of BL works, including 2gether: The Series, TharnType 2: 7 Years Of Love, and Close Friend.
Beyond acting, First is also a former member of Thai boy group Cute Chef, and used to run his own YouTube channel, FIRSTTIME. Elsewhere, he also owns Noun.Bangkok, a premium Thai bakery specializing in French pastries. How can anyone possibly resist an actor so handsome and multi-talented?
Fans of the dreamy star should be sure not to miss Don’t Say No, exclusively available right here on GagaOOLala now!
